Karl Strauss Brewing Company will be marking its 36th anniversary on Sunday, Feb. 2, by selling its core beers for $3.60 at its brewpubs.
“Party with us like it’s 1989,” reads a post on its Facebook page.
That’s the year when entrepreneurs Chris Cramer and Matt Rattner opened a brewery in downtown San Diego with the late brewmaster Karl Strauss, who had retired from Pabst Brewing Company.
The company’s main brewery is in Pacific Beach, and its distribution center is in Poway.
Karl Strauss beers are available in bars, restaurants and retail stores throughout California. The company has nine brewpubs: four in San Diego County and five more in downtown Los Angeles, Anaheim, Costa Mesa, Corona and Temecula.
The brews on sale Sunday will be Tower X West Coast IPA, Boat Shoes Hazy IPA, Aurora Hoppyalis IPA, and Follow the Sun Lager, according to a news release.
