Unless you know these brewers personally and they like you enough to invite you over for a visit, there’s only one other way to taste their beers, and that’s at the third annual Long Beach Homebrew Festival.

With more than 20 brewers pouring their homemade beers, the one-day event returns to Long Beach on Nov. 17.

“These are all people who live in Long Beach, who have a passion for making beer for friends and family and they’re making this beer exclusively for the event,” said Scott Jones, who along with his sister Robin Jones, organizes the festival and runs the nonprofit We Love Long Beach.

The festival takes place in the backyard of a Long Beach home with space for about 300 people who can expect to taste all sorts of beers including hoppy IPAs and strong Belgians as well ciders and even a gluten free beer.

And there will also be some pros there in the VIP area serving their own well-known brews, including Beachwood Brewing,  Liberation Brewing, Ten Mile Brewing Co., Long Beach Beer Lab and Ambitious Ales.
